Finding Journal Articles in InfoTrac
InfoTrac is a source of full-text articles in many of the journals it indexes. The full-text journals in its Expanded Academic index and General Business File are cataloged in VIRGO, with a link to this page of retrieval instructions. This service is available to all University of Virginia faculty, staff, and students. N.B.Due to inconsistencies in this databases, not every issue or every article in a particular journal will appear as full-text.
A. To Find a Specific Article in a Full-Text InfoTrac Journal:
1. Connect to InfoTrac.
2. Click on Expanded Academic ASAP or General Business File ASAP, depending on your subject.
3. Type in the title of your journal article into the search box, e.g.,
bruckner problem revisited
and click on the gray "search" button.
4. To view the full-text of the article, click on the "View" text link under the citation.

B. To Browse a Specific Journal:
1. Connect to InfoTrac.
2. Click on Expanded Academic ASAP or General Business File ASAP, depending on your subject .
3. Select Advanced Search (blue bar on the left).
4. In the search box on right, type jn plus the name of the journal, and click on the gray "search" button:
jn 19th century music
To limit your search to a particular year (da):
jn 19th century music and da 1998
5. To browse a list of all full-text articles available in this journal, scroll down if necessary and click on the "View" link.
6. To see a particular article in the list, click on the "View" link under the citation.
