Data Fields
Each vendor supplies different amounts of data. Here are the data elements that are stored in the periodicals database:
- Title (ie. Time)
- Alternate Title (ie. Time magazine)
- Imprint (ie. Chicago, Time Inc.)
- Call Number (ie. AP2.T37)
- Holdings statement (ie. 1- 1923-)
- Subject Headings
- Preceeding entry
- Succeeding entry
- URL : For URLs in the catalog
- IAC (Fulltext start)
- ABI (Fulltext Start - Fulltext End)
- DowJones (Fulltext and Select Fulltext start - Discontinued from DJ date)
- Linkstat : an incrementor to keep track of what titles people go to. Stats from November, 1999
