Our schedule for this RFP: Although a great deal of work will take place over the phone and thru email,
here's our schedule for in-person meetings and major events:
April 10: RFP released
May 14: Proposals due at 3 p.m.
May 18-May 30: RFP committee reviews proposals and determines finalists
May 18-July 15: Trials available for all VIVA members
May 23: Resources for Users Committee meets
June 6: Steering Committee meets

July 15: Target date for Award Announcement
August 1: Service is scheduled to begin

- Evaluation
Form [linked to http://www.library.vcu.edu/viva/purchase/evaluate.cfm, not working 2/10/2009] for the 3 responders. All VIVA institutions are encouraged to
review the databases offered by 3 responders. Completed web forms should be submitted by June 20 to Karen Cary
or comments may be mailed directly to Karen Cary at kfcary@vcu.edu.
- RFP Committee Members are: Paul Metz (Chair) (Va Tech), Karen Cary (VCU), and John Tombarge (W&L). Also, the ex officio
members are VIVA's Procurement Officer, Iris
Moubray (JMU), and VIVA Director, Kathy Perry.
- Target Date for Award of the contract: Our goal is to award the contract
in July and to have the service begin on or before August
1, 2003.
