In order to help libraries maintain their collections in the WorldCat knowledge base (WCKB), the VIVA central office has prepared the following file. Included is a mapping of VIVA vendor/product to the appropriate collection, if there is one, in the WCKB. Also included is if the product is shared by the publics or paid for with the private pooled funds. In the final column are the interlibrary loan rights associated with the product.
This collection can be "shared" with other libraries, and, if a complete share is in place, any changes made by the VIVA central office will be automatically updated for you. If you have any questions or would like access to the collections maintained by the VIVA central office, please contact the Deputy Director.
To start, you'll need to register for a WCKB account, which is free with your cataloging subscription. If you don't have a cataloging subscription please let us know. Instructions for registering and information about the WCKB are available here: http://www.oclc.org/knowledgebase/default.htm. After you register, you will receive a username and password as well as login instructions.
Once you have an account, email firstname.lastname@example.org and we can turn on Sharing from the central account. You'll then have to go in and accept the Share and add the ILL provisions; unfortunately, they do not transfer with the Share.
