VIVA will reimburse VIVA members from both public and private institutions for travel to and from this meeting.

Travelers needing to stay overnight must submit IN ADVANCE a travel authorization form to the VIVA office ( (See a sample authorization form here.) Lodging reimbursements for one-day events are typically only approved when the traveler resides more than a two and a half hour drive from the event venue.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hampton Inn Harrisonburg - University. Individuals are responsible for their own reservations and cancellations. To make a reservation at the Group Rate, please call 540-432-1111 and request a room under the VIVA Group Block. Reservations must be received by 6/13/2017 to receive the group rate. After 6/13/2017 the group block will be released back to the general inventory of the hotel and the group rate will be accepted on a space-available basis only.

The meeting is in the Ballroom of the Festival Conference Center. Directions to the Festival Conference Center are available here:

Parking for this event will be in lots C12 and D3 (located between G & H 7), across the street from the venue: No parking permit is needed.
