Travel:

VIVA will reimburse VIVA members from both public and private institutions for travel to and from this meeting. Travelers needing to stay overnight must submit IN ADVANCE a travel authorization form to the VIVA office (viva@gmu.edu or fax to 703-993-4662).

A block of rooms has been reserved at Sweet Briar College's Elston Inn & Conference Center. Please call them directly (434.381.6207) to get the Conference Rate of $77 and be sure to mention that you are with the VIVA group. The state's maximum allowable for the lodging rate is $77 before taxes and the M&IE rate for Sweet Briar is $41. Travel days are reimbursable at 75% of the rate. See the VIVA travel guidelines for further information. 

A second block of rooms has been reserved at the Holiday Inn, 601 Main St., Lynchburg. You can make reservations online and mention the group code "VIV".  Or please call the hotel at (434) 528-2500 for reservations. (The reimbursable lodging rate for Lynchburg is $79 before taxes and M&IE is $51.  Travel days are reimbursable at 75% of the rate.) Please mention that you are with the VIVA group.  This rate is guaranteed until 7/01/12 so make your reservation before then.
