Things to See and Do

The Charlottesville area offers a plethora of things to see and do, including historic attractions (notably Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson, whose personal library legacy lives on as the Library of Congress), walking tours, wine tours, art and theatre events, and free musical performances. Tourist information is available at PursueCharlottesville.com.

By a lucky turn of events, the nationally reknowned Historic Garden Week in Virginia, called "America's Largest Open House", will be held April 18-25.

Also, there will be 2 Dave Matthews Band concerts at the University of Virginia's John Paul Jones Arena, Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18. Tickets go on sale January 17, 2009.
