Mergent Horizon Training (Online)
March 4 & 5, 2009
VIVA's Resources for Users Committee is happy to announce that Michael Strauss of Mergent will be offering online training on Mergent Horizon next week. Mergent Horizon provides users with seamless capabilities for finding, filtering and organizing information about companies and industries. Comprehensive coverage is provided for all companies that are actively traded on the NYSE, AMEX and NASDAQ--over 6,200 in total, with enhanced product-level detail for 3,700 companies in the Healthcare, Technology, Media and Finance sectors.
These training sessions are open to all VIVA member librarians. Training for Mergent Online has already taken place.
Michael will hold two online sessions: Wednesday, March 4 at 2pm, and Thursday, March 5 at 10 am. All that's required is an internet connection and a phone. No advance registration is necessary, but if possible, please email Pat Van Zandt, so we can let Michael know how many people to expect. If you're interested in training but cannot attend one of these sessions, please contact VIVA, and we'll try to schedule another time.
