Resources for Users Committee -- Minutes June 7 , 2005 -- 10:00 AM Conference Call Gene Damon, Presiding Present: Gene Damon, Karen Cary, Sharon Gasser, Louveller Luster, Paul Metz, Pamela Morgan, Jane Penner, Sylvia Rortvedt, Jim Self, John Tombarge, Pat Van Zandt, John Walsh, and Kathy Perry, VIVA Director. This call was, primarily, to review the results of the RFP Committee's work and to make recommendations on those results. 1. Core Resources -- S. Gasser We have two firm offers. Negotiations with both vendors will take place on June 8. The results of the surveys and general assessment of the RFP responses put both vendors very close. One vendor's price is quite a bit higher than the other, but this may change in negotiations. The RUC voted to recommend, to the Steering Committee, the RFP's committee's final recommendation which would be finailized after the negotiations on June 8. 2. PAIS and ECONLIT -- S. Gasser The RFP committee recommends that we license access to PAIS and ECONLIT from CSA. This would result in a move of these two resources from First Search to CSA. This recommendation was approved. 3. Bowker -- P. Van Zandt Pat had distributed a revised offer for the Bowker renewals and recommended approval. This recommendation was approved.
