Minutes of the Sept. 28, 2001 meeting of the ILL Subcommittee of the Resource Sharing Committee. Present: A. Morton (chair), P. DeMars, D. Ryman, J. Galloni, J. Malloy, J. Scott, J. Cooper Convened: Approximately 9:30 am, in Clemons Library Room 321 at the University of Virginia. 1. Discussed the future of the ILL Subcommittee. Recommendations that the ILL Subcommittee be continued were approved by the Resource Sharing Committee at its last meeting in May, 2001. ILL Subcommittee's charge: Our committee's charge is to focus on issues and plan events that enhance ILL service between our institutions and to our patrons. One of our most important functions is to plan the annual VIVA ILL Community Forum. 2. Two members who have resigned from the subcommittee need to be replaced. Decided to solicit interested VIVA library members on the VIVA-ILL mailing list. Will seek volunteers from southern and southwestern Virginia because those areas are not represented on the subcommittee at this time. 3. Discussed this year's VIVA ILL Community Forum (June 29, 2001). P. DeMars will have the evaluation forms entered into a spreadsheet for analysis. 4. Discussed the next forum (2002). Several options for programs were suggested and these will be submitted to the VIVA-ILL membership for a vote. There was a general concensus that Zehmer Hall at UVA was a good venue for the forum. The exact date of the next meeting will be decided at the next Subcommittee meeting in November. 5. Set the date of the next meeting of the ILL subcommittee for November 16, 2001, 9:30am, Clemons Library. [NOTE: Clemons Library rooms were unavailable for that date, so the meeting will be held in Alderman Library, Room 423.] Adjourned 11:30 am. Submitted by Jean L. Cooper
