VIVA Users Group Meeting
VLA Annual Conference
October 29, 2009

VIVA convened its 13th Annual User's Group Meeting at the Virginia Library Association Annual Conference on October 29, 2009, in Williamsburg, VA.

Our thanks to Alan Zoellner (W&M) for his update on the Stat-USA Task Force (we will be posting the link to the website soon) and to Donna Hughes-Oldenburg for her update on the VIVA TF on the OCLC Reclamation Project (we will post the report soon) and ODU's experiences with the reclamation project.

A very special thanks to Iris Moubray (JMU Procurement) for stepping in to discuss procurement with us as a last minute replacement for Madelyn Wessel.  (Madelyn was very sorry to be called away at the last minute and has agreed to try to join us next year to do her talk on licensing, so we can look forward to that.)  As many of you know, Iris is something akin to a "National Treasure" in VIVA lore and it is my extreme pleasure to be able to work with her and her colleagues at JMU.  They do a fantastic job and VIVA members benefit every day from their excellent work.

Andrew Pearson, Director at Bridgewater College, took notes throughout the entire meeting (Thank you!) and we will post those as soon as they are available.
