Most commercial sources restrict access to databases to the faculty, students, and staff at VIVA institutions through licensing restrictions, indicated by the designation:

VIVA only

All VIVA resources are available to those at Virginia's public institutions. Those at Virginia's private institutions have access to VIVA resources on a case-by-case basis.

Off-Campus Access

Different institutions have different ways of managing access. Some campuses have set up special ways to permit those who are off-campus to use the VIVA resources:
